This book is about the condition and direction of Print Art in the early years of the 21st century. It features the work of 45 artists from 16 countries around the world who challenge many of the conventional notions of Printmaking. There is an illustrated profile of each artist, and a wide variety of techniques and mediums are explored. The introductory chapters set the scene for considering Print Art within the context of the cultural condition of the world, and offer some controversial views of the place of the visual arts in society.
