RICHARD NOYCE:

Born 1944, Chichester, England; educated there and at Portsmouth School of Architecture, and subsequently at Leeds College of Art, graduating with honours in 1968.

EMPLOYMENT:

Wide experience of work (1968-1999) in many parts of the UK in:

Interior Design, Historic Building Conservation and Regeneration;

Arts Administration, Art Gallery and Arts Centre management;

Teaching Art at secondary school level

Since 1999, freelance writer, curator, lecturer and artist

WRITING:

Author of two major books on 20th century Polish art:

  • Contemporary Painting in Poland’ (Craftsman House, Sydney, 1995, AAASS/Orbis Polish Book Prize, 1996)
  • ‘Contemporary Graphic Art in Poland’ (Craftsman House, Sydney, 1997

And author of three books on international contemporary printmaking:

  • ‘Printmaking at the Edge’ (A&C Black, London, 2006, reprinted 2008, 2010, 2013); 43 artists, 16 countries
  • 'Critical Mass: Printmaking Beyond the Edge’ (A&C Black, August 2010); 52 artists, 27 countries
  • 'Printmaking Off the Beaten Track’ (Bloomsbury Publishers, Autumn 2013); 54 artists, 27 countries
