Contemporary Painting in Poland

Richard Noyce, Craftsman House (Sydney), 1995, ISBN 9768097973

Awarded the 1996 AAASS/Orbis Polish Book Prize by the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies, this celebrated book records the achievement of 48 Polish painters, both recent graduates and established masters, active in the early 1990s. The illustrated profiles of the artists set the scene for their work and these profiles are introduced by a series of essays that provide an historical and cultural context for the work produced at a time of historic change in Poland.

This book is now out of print, but copies can still be found via the Amazon sites, some as remainders, others as second-hand collectible books. Look for them on Amazon or other second-hand book sites.
