‘CONTEMPORARY GRAPHIC ART IN POLAND’
Richard Noyce, Craftsman House (Sydney), 1997, ISBN 9057034816
Polish Graphic Art, comprising printmaking, posters and drawing, is justly celebrated in many parts of the world. This major book includes work by 48 artists of all generations, with illustrated profiles, accompanied by introductory essays that set the scene and context for the work they were producing in the final years of the 20th century. The book proved timely, being published as Poland joined the European Union, bringing to an end years of comparative isolation, and setting the country on the way to becoming a major European country.
This book is becoming increasingly hard to obtain as it is out of print. A few remaindered copies are available, together with second-hand copies at collectible prices. Look for them on the Amazon or other second-hand book sites.
